Overview
This is a developmental role which will suit a new graduate or developer with a portfolio of work, but limited commercial experience, looking to fast develop skills and gain agency exposure. The role will comprise front line SharePoint development, configuration and customisation on client intranets using out of the box tools and languages. Training will be provided.

Reporting relationships:
1.    Technical manager (Direct report)
2.    Production director

Skills & Experience:
-      A web technology degree or a strong portfolio of freelance work.
-      Technically competent and with a good idea of how websites work.
Able to use a variety of technologies and languages including:
o    HTML / CSS                                              (Good / Expert)
o    JavaScript / JQuery                                   (Good)
o    XML / XSL                                                (Good)
o    PHP or ASP – Procedural code                      (Good / Beginner)
o    PHP or ASP – Object Oriented code               (Beginner)
o    Photoshop (Slicing designs)                          (Beginner)
o    Microsoft SharePoint 2007/2010                   (Any experience a bonus)
-      Able to work in a fast paced environment across multiple projects.
-      An eye for detail and a dedication to making your code pixel perfect.
-      Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
-      A good understanding of the key principles of web design including user interface, usability, accessibility, and web standar
ds.
-      A working knowledge of developing sites on CMSs like Drupal or WordPress (Not required, but would be a bonus)

Responsibilities:
-      Undertake front-line SharePoint configuration  work for the agency, including:
o    Creating or reworking master pages and layouts based on provided designs and wireframes.
o    Creating customised list-driven Content Query webparts, controlling the output via the XSL stylesheets.
o    Creating custom lists and document libraries to meet project and client requirements.
o    Creating custom “widgets” using JQuery based on the output of custom list-driven Content Query Webparts.o    Uploading and publishing content to SharePoint sites.
-      Undertake more general development duties when required
o    “Slice & Dice” designs into HTML/CSS
o    Content upload or CMS configuration within Drupal or WordPress.
-      Perform various other project tasks in support of your manager.

Personal characteristics:
You are a bright individual with a personable nature, highly organised and like working with others from different countries and backgrounds.

Either as part of your studies and/or commercial experience, you have worked on websites and/or intranets where you were responsible for building web pages (preferably business-to-business) and website maintenance.

This means:
-      You’re able to complete duties on time whilst maintaining a high quality service. You have a willingness to work until the task is complete.
-      You have a sense of humour, a positive approach and work well within a team.
-      You have enthusiasm for learning new technologies and applications outside of work.
-      You possess the ability to multi-task and work efficiently under pressure with careful attention to detail.
