C Developer

Based in Central London, a vacancy exists for a C developer with a background in Internet technologies and web-based industries to join our multi-disciplined Product Development team. Working primarily in C, although other languages and experience would be advantageous, you will take part in Apache Module development, software design and concept development. This is an opportunity to take part in new and exciting technology developments while helping shaping the future direction of our products.


Key Skills and Experience required

  • 4+  years C programming language experience
  • First-hand experience of Apache 2.x API
  • Understanding and experience of working with threads, locks and shared memory
  • Solid working experience of Internet technologies - HTTP protocol, HTML and JavaScript basics, TCP/IP networking, SSL/TLS/certificates
  • Good knowledge of UNIX/Linux OS concepts
  • Ability to read, understand and modify other people's source code
  • Self starter and willing to learn and study
  • Flexible, and enthusiastic to work in a formative, rapidly changing company
  • Perl and UNIX shell language basics an advantage
  • Experience working alongside Agile development teams would be beneficial
  • High-level web language experience e.g. Java/Javascript an advantage
  • Web application development experience an advantage

Product Development Team

The Product Development Team is an integral part of the Technology department with responsibility for developing and maintaining all of Clickstream’s products. From concept to operational handover, the Product Development Team works closely with the business to design, develop and extend our technology to meet market requirements.

Clickstream is an independent company which supplies a proprietary platform enabling the development and deployment of applications for automated ‘on the fly’ modification of any web traffic- including applications that modify browser requests, website pages, HTTP headers, page tags, Internet marketing tools, advertising targeting and much more.  This technology is currently deployed at Hosting companies and being prepared for deployment in mobile and fixed-line broadband markets.
