Description

An exciting opportunity exists for a proven C#/.Net /SQL developer to join Sector UK, a growing consultancy firm that provides consulting and bespoke IT solutions to a number of large organisations across the UK.

As a C# / .Net / SQL developer you will be responsible for the design and implementation of new web applications that grow our business. You will also be required to enhance our award winning CBL application that is used by over 100 local authorities. You will need to be able to work independently once direction is set and be self-motivated to meet project deadlines.

We are looking for candidates with at least 4 years proven development experience educated to degree level (or equivalent).

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop and deploy web applications that utilise a SQL Server database. Applications need to be designed using OO principles and developed using Microsoft programming technologies.
Develop additional modules to existing web applications. Utilising the current business logic and building additional components within the business logic layer.
Design and build rationalised databases in SQL Server 2005 / 2008.
Write stored procedures; DTS packages and jobs in SQL server.
Write XSL style sheets to display XML data in a browser.
Write XSL-FO style sheets to perform XSLT transformations on XML to produce PDF documents
Provide documentation and hand over training to the maintenance team to enable them to maintain the application once it has been developed and deployed.
Obtain functional requirements from clients.
Present demonstrations of developed applications or concepts to clients.
Communicate and discuss design ideas with directors, consultants and other team members.
