Description

At Shopzilla, we are looking for a sharp web developer with a passion for clean and semantic HTML and CSS who enjoys working in a team environment.

 

To be successful in this role, you would have had at least 2 years experience in a similar role and be familiar with a variety of back-end technologies, particularly Java. You’ll have demonstrated experience building optimised websites, and putting together rich user experiences with object oriented and unobtrusive JavaScript practices.

What are you going to do:

·         Write great Front end code

·         Collaborate with teams in the UK and US to develop large-scale web services

·         Design and develop new features and components in our shopping comparison systems

 

 

Who should you be:

·         A front end programmer guru

·         Somebody who is an expert in most of the main technologies in our software stack: JavaScript, CSS, HTML/XHTML, JQuery, DOM, Tomcat, YUI, Linux

·         Familiar with developing with Templating Languages, GIT and have had exposure working with ANT/Maven

·         A person with the potential to improve our extremely competent developer team – this means you need to either have lots of potential or already be a great developer, because this isn’t easy

 

 

This is a 3 month contract, but there may be the potential to extend.
