As a profitable and rapidly growing start-up we’re looking for developers that can help us solve hard technical problems and build products have to scale to millions of events per day. You’ll need to be comfortable working with distributed systems and most of all, be enthusiastic about helping to grow a company that’s a fantastic place to work.

 

 

 

The primary objectives of your role will be:

  • ·         Design and implementation of new features to meet time and quality expectations.
  • ·         Contribute to product development with the goal of adding business value.
  • ·         Evaluate new technologies and techniques to meet and exceed customer requirements.
  • ·         Project planning and scheduling.

You will need to:

  • ·         Deliver to requirements.
  • ·         Take ownership of tasks, features and issues.
  • ·         Be capable of working autonomously and identifying dependencies, issues and risks.
  • ·         Be self directed and have strong time management skills.
  • ·         Interact with stakeholders to refine requirements.
  • ·         Support existing code bases as issues arise.
  • ·         Contribute to the growth of Featurespace.
  • ·         Lead and mentor junior members of your team.

You will be expected to have the following:

  • ·         Experience of designing and developing high throughput, distributed enterprise architectures written in Microsoft technologies.
  • ·         Knowledge of load balancing and fault tolerance techniques.
  • ·         Detailed knowledge of VB.Net / C#, WCF and the .Net Framework.
  • ·         Knowledge of design patterns and distributed development paradigms such as SOA and EDA.
  • ·         Awareness of, and passion for new technologies (e.g. .Net 4.0, Entity Framework, nServiceBus, MEF)
  • ·         In depth experience of either MS SQL Server or Oracle, ideally both.
  • ·         TDD and unit testing with relevant code coverage.

Any experience in the following would be advantageous:

  • ·         External Enterprise API integration.
  • ·         Experience with third party frameworks e.g.  NHibernate, Castle Windsor, MemCache.
  • ·         Code Profiling and performance tuning.
  • ·         Cloud platforms, in particular MS Azure / EC2.
