Description

Tiga Communications Ltd are a full service creative agency based in Meopham Green, Kent.

Established in 1991, we provide design, development and marketing services across traditional and digital channels to a variety of B2B clients - from corporations to SMEs.

We are looking to recruit a new Web Developer to work within our small, friendly team. The ideal candidate will have at least a year’s experience, but preferably more, in a busy commercial environment and possess a ‘can do’ attitude along with a committed attention to detail.

Roles and responsibilities

• General end-to-end development, from specifying slicing of artwork from our studio team to coordinating with our account managers and directly with clients.
• Taking ownership of new projects and development.
• Implementation of new features and bug fixes on existing projects.
• Assist in developing our in-house framework/CMS as it advances project-by-project.

Required skills

• PHP 5.x.
• Knowledge of MVC frameworks, preferably Codeigniter or similar.
• MySQL and relational database design.
• JavaScript (jQuery).
• XML/JSON.
• Standards compliant HTML & CSS.
• Knowledge of cross-browser issues.
• Understanding of source control (hg, svn etc).
• Excellent spoken English.

Useful skills
Although not essential, experience of the following would be beneficial:

• Mobile web or app development (this is a very big advantage).
• Adobe Photoshop/Creative Suite knowledge.
• API integration.
• NoSql experience (mongodb).
• Postgresql experience.
• Server administration skills (Centos 5.x, Ubuntu server).
• Actionscript skills.
• Test driven development / PHPUnit.
• Any SEO/SEM experience.

Salary
Competitive, depending on experience.
